mollymeulin A well executed take on an interesting concept; combining hip-hop and vaporwave, both genres known for their use of samples, whether slowing them down or chopping & screwing them. The resulting atmosphere is at once calm and ambient, and yet refreshingly active for anything classic vapor; certainly something I'd not be opposed to seeing more of! May check out more Machina Pensant in the future. Favorite track: Oxygen (Extended).

Dionysus Virus Really great beats that I find to be more on the Hip Hop instrumental side with a little splash of Barber Beats. The final three tracks feel out of place and there’s some volume control issues with one of them but this album is completely worth listening to and if you like hip hop/ barber beats/ jazz hop you can’t go wrong with this album.

Presented as a collection of tracks influenced by a mixture of chops influenced by classic vapor, Temple manages to add its own spin to the jazzy samples it contains by adding elements of instrumental hip-hop to the mix. Each track is relaxing, yet driving in the most perfect way, muted drum loops managing to hit just hard enough to keep you engaged all the way throughout.

Keeping most of its tracks short, the album is topped off a pair of longer, more in-depth tracks towards the end to really show what it can do with its techniques, adding a sense of more subtle progression in each of them to show it can excel at multiple forms of its own style.

The digital bonus is also topped off by three tracks from al alternate project, Float, which uses a mix of music from the former half of the 20th century to build an oddly lonely atmosphere, an air of desolation put into normally cheery cuts of familiar music.
