thomura If a smoke break was an album: a pause of the world around you and a breezy break on the back porch before bed. the static reverb might usually indicate some kind of hollow emptiness, but these songs are full of the emotionality felt after a long day: reserved, but not because it wants to be. just a very cozy, sleepy album to think and breathe to. 10/10 Favorite track: Clocks.

Every now and again, we notice a project that makes us have to break from the usual mold. Even though we generally try to host works from all across the genre pool when possible, there's a few that end up appearing in our catalogs more often than not. With the appearance of Some Home, we've made a temporary escape from the electronica we usually publish in order to bring along something special to our team.

A short romp through the realm of Midwest Emo, this collection of tracks by Twinleaf uses its runtime to the fullest, with each song blending into the next exceptionally well. While they do fade into one another without a direct transition, the drawing out of notes into both the back and foreground give a strong sense of cohesion to the work, as if the artist is stopping and starting from the same recording session from front to back.

Tracks like Blue Eyes exemplify this, with a heavy reverberance on the strumming and vocals that cause it to feel dreamlike, a feeling that sticks throughout the EP and becomes the most prominent in payoff at that point.

While this is much different than the line of releases before it, we hope you enjoy this as much as we have.
