With all their contributions to the vaporwave scene in the last couple years, Aexion has been working in the styles of slushwave, classic vapor, future funk, and late night lo-fi, with this record being one of his most promising ventures into the sound of the last category. Playing it completely straight and deciding to forgo bells and whistles for something more simple and elegant, the sound of 'Sparkling Night' is built from the ground up to pay homage to the past efforts of artists in the scene, showing respect for their craft.

While the vocal sampling, like a lot of music in this style of vaporwave at the time, is left much more minimal, the notes of it help emphasize the depth of the effects work on tracks like "Peach & Cherry", helping to build the smooth, luxurious atmosphere that the album is working towards.

Fans of the earlier endeavors of the vaporwave scene and those who wish to see a return to the stylings of that time alike will find something to enjoy in the sound of 'Sparkling Night', and those who have not ventured far into the concepts before will find themselves with a newfound interest in this tribute to an iconic era of production.
