A split originally released on Net Century and ported over to our label for another go around. A modern reminder of how much of early vapor was defined by split albums and their importance, with the second side adjusted by the artist in order to create a more fierce dichotomy against the pieces preceding it.

Much of the early vaporwave scene was founded on split albums, between both well-known and fresh talent that wished to contribute. While this art has been relatively lost over the years (other than some choice releases every now and again) both チェリーSoda and EXIT ZERO found it important to bring this idea back to life. Originally released with two sides that were composed of mostly classic-style vapor, EXIT ZERO has opted to adjust their side of the album to create a reflection to チェリーSoda's side to enhance the experience.

チェリーSoda's side still embraces the classic style of vapor that brought along the original wave of splits in the first place, opting for the use of chopped loops and careful effects work in order to evoke something uniquely smooth and luxurious. Each sample feels as if it's been meticulously polished, both from the composition of the selected sound and its evoked texture, evoking a sound that sprawls wide, left perfectly pristine in the mastering proceess.

Conversely, EXIT ZERO has opted to change the contents of the side of their original contribution to the split (previously titled 3AM) in order to create a reflection from previous contents. Rough, blown-out, and staggered in its approach, the newly titled 3AM takes care to create something that is almost the mirror image of チェリーSoda's approach, switching tempos and pitches, reversing its samples at times to disorient.

Together, these two pieces form a whole that harkens back to a very-recent time in vapor's history where this two-person structure was all too common, and for good reason.
