Appearing mysteriously out of nowhere, this enigmatic artist has made their niche in the scene by contributing a mixture of contemplative drone to the vaporwave scene, using aesthetics and influences from both genres to create something captivatingly unique. Part of the original series of their albums themed after fruit, "🥝" is one of the most texturally inviting of these early works, managing to be both mysterious and inviting through clever uses and texture and reverberance.

The motions of the tracks feel mechanical, drawn out and weary, and yet the sound itself is fluid, creating a wistfulness that washes over from track to track. Just as one tide finally reels back, another washes over top of it to deliver a force of sheer sound, washing back almost immediately to give the listener time to appreciate the after-image of its brief presence as the next note crawls in.

In addition to all this, a digital-only remix has been supplied by experimental artist Hakita, presenting 'マタタビ科' in a more relentlessly looping, industrial light, while also keeping true to its more subdued qualities. We believe this alternate take helps to enhance the album experience and hope you enjoy it as much as the release proper.
