One of the first releases by Luxury Elite considered to be a full, finished work was 101.7 Wave. A collection of short loops and glimpses into the sampling thoughts that went behind a project which ended up defining the course of many avenues of vaporwave for the next decade. Even at this point in her career, there is still the same wistful love for an era of kitsch, glamour, and skylines beyond the line of sight.

While originally issued on physical as a treat to go alongside the re-release of its successor, 101.7 Wave II, we've seen that there is just as much respect from the whole scene for the influence that this artist has had on all of us, and on the broader scope of the music surrounding it. A respect for a vision that inspired others, one that itself had became a sort of touchstone for nostalgia. Just as the material it was based on had been for the creator.

It is tough to keep up with the demand for someone prolific, but we're honored to be allowed to try our best by hosting 101.7 Wave digitally, and by giving another chance at receiving this album to everyone who has asked for one over the recent months. We're glad that you're just as dedicated to keeping the passions, dreams, and art of the scene alive. You're just as much a contributor as any label, artist, or promoter will be, and we see you.

Vapor would not be the same if there was no one there to listen, remember, or to care about what has shaped it to be what it is today.

Traditional in a "telepath" sense, but Beyond Reality is also one of a few records from his catalogue that sticks out to me a lot due to it's single "night-and-day" change. Softer, lusher, more warmth, and gentler to the touch than a lot of his early mall muzak material. All in all, it's a great album that was perfectly crafted to be played on nights that are meant to unwind to. Quota
